Today we say happy birthday to our lovely Elaine, who is celebrating her 60th birthday. Many happy returns from all of the team – management, staff and residents. We wish you all the very best.
Elaine first came to Glencairn in 2006 to work as a Care Assistant. At that time, she was a full-time carer who delivered a high standard of person-centred care. Elaine turned her hand to all shifts, including days, back shifts and even night shifts. She also helped with housekeeping and clearly loved her role.
Later, an opportunity came up in the kitchen and Elaine was offered the position of Cook. She enjoyed many happy years there, producing fantastic dishes for our residents, while staff also looked forward to her tasty bites.
In 2019, Elaine decided to try something different and left Glencairn to follow a completely new path. After around five years away, she decided to return to us and, following another successful interview, rejoined Glencairn as a full-time member of the housekeeping team.
Elaine has many strings to her bow and can often be seen covering a kitchen shift or helping out wherever needed. She has been on a long journey with Glencairn, and we feel very lucky to have her on board. She is equally popular with staff and residents, and we are delighted to celebrate this special milestone with her.
